We are delighted to confirm that Elijah Campbell has joined the club from Everton, on a loan deal until the end of the season.
The 21-year-old versatile defender is the former captain of the Toffees' Under-18 side, and signed his first professional contract in June 2022. He later spent the second half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Fleetwood Town in Sky Bet League One, making his debut against Vale.
Campbell spent the 2024/25 season on loan at Scottish Premiership side Ross County, and recently made his senior debut for Everton as a substitute against Sunderland AFC in the Emirates FA Cup.
He will now link up with his new team-mates ahead of Tuesday's league fixture against AFC Wimbledon at Vale Park.
Speaking about the deal, First-Team Manager Jon Brady said: "We're really pleased to have Elijah on board. He's only 21 but already has some good experience under his belt, including at this level, and he'll give us another defensive option going into a busy period of important games.
"Our thanks to Everton for trusting us with continuing his development here at Vale Park."
We would like to extend a warm welcome to Eli and his family.
