Dear Valiants,
Our start to the season hasn’t been good enough. After last season, I understand why supporters are angry and asking whether we have learned from it. I take my share of responsibility for where we are.
I also know we haven’t communicated enough over the past few weeks and I’m sorry for that. The questions about results, recruitment and how the football side of the club is being led are fair ones.
For clarity, Jon remains in charge of the first team and will take the team against Mansfield. He knows, as we all do, that performances and results need to improve.
I know you want to hear what we’re doing to improve things, not just that we understand your frustration.
I want to reassure you that there are changes being worked on behind the scenes, and I will speak to you directly at the Supporters' Forum on 1st October about those. Where we can share more before then, we will.
