Bycars split approved for Gillingham fixture

Bycars Stand

We're pleased to confirm that we have now received approval from the relevant authorities that make up the Safety Advisory Group (SAG), to release a further 1,000 tickets to home supporters in the Bycars Stand for Saturday's fixture against Gillingham.

These tickets will be available to purchase online only, with a maximum of four tickets available per person. This will be the final ticket release for this fixture, with no further tickets available once they have sold out. Please visit port-vale.co.uk/tickets to purchase yours, ensuring that you have set up an e-ticketing account in advance.

Tickets will be available from 5pm on Wednesday 30th April.

The news comes amid huge demand for tickets, with the Valiants competing against Doncaster Rovers for the Sky Bet League Two title. As a result, we are expecting our biggest home attendance March 1998.

After securing promotion last weekend, season tickets for our 150th anniversary season are also selling quickly, ahead of the end of the early-bird pricing window this Sunday. Season ticket prices have once again been frozen for our return to Sky Bet League One, as we prepare to mark a special milestone in the club's history.

Vale vs Gillingham: important supporter information

Those attending the Gillingham fixture are politely reminded to keep any celebrations to the stands. Pitch incursions can result in a significant fine for the club and may disrupt any post-match presentations involving the first-team squad.

Supporters should also note that Driveway A - which runs parallel to the Railway Stand and the Synectics Solutions car park - will remain open throughout the day for this fixture.

A reminder that Burslem Festival is also taking place on Saturday and the main Burslem town centre area will be pedestrianised.

Bycars access for home supporters

There will be access via Dollys Lane or past Lorne Street reception and onto Bycars Lane - adjacent to the training ground and left into Turnstiles 29 to 32 - for home fans who wish to avoid the arrival of Gillingham supporters. These turnstiles are those closest to the Dollys Lane side of the ground.

Turnstiles will open at 1.30pm and there will be hot food and drinks available inside the stand and a hot food vendor on Bycars Lane ahead of the match.

We cannot, however, serve alcohol from the kiosk due to sight lines to the pitch, but a can bar will be opening outside of the turnstiles just before half-time and supporters will be able to leave the stand to access it and drink on Bycars Lane. Gillingham supporters will not be able to access Bycars Lane at half-time, so the home can bar space will be a safe and segregated area.

A stewarded and wide segregation line will also be in place to keep home and away supporters apart whilst in the stand.
