Ben Garrity signs new two-year deal

We are delighted to announce that Port Vale captain Ben Garrity has signed a new contract at the club.

The combative midfielder - who was out of contract at the end of the 2025/26 season – will now remain at Vale Park until the end of the 2027/28 after penning a two-year deal.

Garrity has made just shy of 200 appearances for the Valiants since first joining from Blackpool in 2021 and has become a firm favourite among supporters in that time.

The 29-year-old has been named Vale’s Player of the Season on two occasions and is also a two-time promotion winner with the club.

First-Team Manager, Jon Brady, said: “Keeping Ben at the football club was a huge priority for us this summer. He represents everything we want Port Vale to be about: leadership, honesty, integrity and complete commitment to the shirt every single day.

“Ben drives standards on and off the pitch. He leads through his actions, his mentality and the connection he has with the dressing room and our supporters. Those qualities are invaluable to us moving forward.

“He’s an important part of what we’re building here, and I know the fans will be delighted to see their captain committing his future to the club.”
