Port Vale youngsters Tommy McDermott and James Plant continue their experience at Salisbury FC in the Southern League Premier Division South.

Awarded the Player of the Match in each of his first two appearances, Plant has clearly made a positive impression at The Raymond McEnhill Stadium, though the Whites have suffered defeats to Gosport Borough and Plymouth Parkway in the duo’s opening two fixtures in Wiltshire.

Salisbury aren’t in action this weekend, with their next fixture the visit of Harrow Borough on Tuesday 14th February (7.45pm kick-off).

Elsewhere, Lucas Covolan featured for 90 minutes on Tuesday night as Chesterfield lost to fellow National League promotion-chasers Woking at the Technique Stadium.

The Brazilian goalkeeper, 31, has made 14 appearances for Paul Cook’s side this season, as they look to return to the EFL in a highly competitive fifth tier.

Port Vale Under 18s Durell Manhertz and Logan Stinton continue to further their senior football experience at Abbey Hulton United and Stone Old Alleynians respectively.

Defender Manhertz has featured in two matches for Abbey Hulton in the North West Counties First Division South – a defeat to Sandbach United and win against Abbey Hey – but has recently missed matches due to injury. However, he could return when Abbey Hulton host Wythenshawe Amateurs at Drayton Beaumont Park on Saturday.

Forward Stinton, featured on Tuesday night as the Old Alleynians defeated Heath Hayes 4-3 in a seven-goal thriller in the Midland Premier League Cup. He could feature on Saturday when Stone face Shifnal Town in the Midland Football League Premier Division.
