We are delighted to announce that Port Vale FC and Synectics Solutions have been recognised by The Fostering Network as a Fostering Friendly employers.
Fostering Friendly is The Fostering Network's programme to encourage employers to support fostering, and in particular, foster carers.
We received the accreditation from Kevin Williams, the CEO of the Fostering Network, who said: "The Fostering Network is delighted to recognise Synectics Solutions and Port Vale Football Club as Fostering Friendly employers. Both employers have put in place a policy to support their employees who foster, recognising the important role foster carers play for the benefit of children".
In order to be recognised as a fostering friendly employer, members of the scheme agree to put in place a fostering friendly HR policy for all foster carers in their employment.
This includes offering foster carers flexible working and paid time-off for training and settling a new child into their home.
