Aaron Martin to join The Valiants

Port Vale Football Club is delighted to confirm Aaron Martin has agreed to sign for the Valiants upon the expiry of his current contract with Hamilton Academical.

The experienced defender will join The Valiants on July, 1 having made more than 300 appearances in his career so far, netting 17 goals.
 
Aaron started his career with Eastleigh spending three seasons with The Spitfires before making a move to Southampton in the 2009/10 season.
 
Martin spent time out on loan at Salisbury City, Crystal Palace and Coventry City before making a permanent move to Birmingham City.
 
From the Blues, Aaron featured for Yeovil, Coventry and Oxford United before moving to Exeter City in the 2018/19 season. In Martin's second season with The Grecians, they reached the SkyBet League Two Playoffs missing out in the final to Northampton Town.
 
Talking about Aaron joining the club, manager Darrell Clarke said: "I'm delighted that Aaron will be joining us. His experience and knowledge of the division is very useful to have in our squad.
