Port Vale and Burslem-based Autonet Insurance enter new, long term partnership

11 September 2020

The club is delighted to announce a new long-term partnership with Burslem-based Autonet Insurance, part of the Atlanta Group.

Autonet Insurance is a multi award-winning Insurance Broker established in 1998 by Ian Donaldson who is Stoke born and bred. They were the first Personal Lines Broker to win both Personal Lines Broker of the Year and Independent Broker of the Year at the Insurance Times Awards demonstrating the high regard Autonet is held within the Insurance industry. Success has continued year after year and as part of the Atlanta Group they are consistently recognised as one of the UK's Top 50 Brokers. Now employing  over 700 colleagues at their two sites in Burslem and Trentham Lakes, this sponsorship reaffirms Autonet’s ongoing commitment to the local area.

The Autonet Insurance brand will appear on all four stands at Vale park, but the original names of Lorne Street, Railway Stand, Bycars and Hamil Road will be retained.

In addition, the Autonet brand will also appear on the training kit and benchwear worn by the Port Vale first team and coaching staff.

Port Vale co-owner and Chair Carol Shanahan said: “We are absolutely delighted to announce this partnership with Autonet Insurance. Having Autonet, which employs hundreds of people nearby in Burslem, proudly sponsoring the stands at Vale Park underlines our aim of working with brilliant local companies here in North Staffordshire.

“We look forward to welcome Ian and our friends from Autonet to Vale Park and to building on this exciting new partnership.”

Atlanta Group Chief Executive Officer, Ian Donaldson had this to say: “I am delighted to enter into this new partnership with the Vale, I have enjoyed sponsoring the club last season, but this summer I wanted to take it to another level. An important part of the partnership for me was giving the stands the proper names that the fans identify with. When it is safe and we are allowed back to Vale Park, I am sure everyone will be impressed and proud of all the work that has gone in this summer, and I believe the stands look absolutely fantastic with the new signage. All of us at Autonet Insurance are looking forward to the 2020-2021 season and many years to come working with the club, as always, UTV”
