Alan Lester, at peace on the 26th April 2020 aged 82.
Beloved Husband of Janet, loving Dad to Jeremy and Julia, a dear Grandad of James, George, Isabella and Charles, and fond Brother to Peter.
Alan, a lifelong vale supporter, first started watching Vale while attending the nearby Stanfield Technical High School. A proud season ticket holder, he loved a Saturday afternoon at Vale Park. Frequenting the Valiant suite before the match, for half a beer, accompanied by friends, his Children and Grandchildren enjoying the football through the good times and the tough times, he was always there. Alan was a generous man and loved to share and was never happier than when in the company of other people. He enjoyed nothing more than chatting about football with his fellow Valiants.
His Vale supporting legacy will continue with Daughter Julia, Son Jeremy and Grandchildren all Vale supporters.
A private family Burial in Alton Cemetery with a celebration of his life to be held later in the year once current restrictions are lifted.
