Following his performance in the 4-0 win over Stoke City U21s in the Checkatrade Trophy, Cristian Montano has been named the Player of the Second Round.
The Colombian scored two of Vale’s goals in the space of just two minutes before half-time, and he also delivered the cross that saw Tom Pope open the scoring early on.
He was shortlisted for the accolade alongside four other players from various clubs, but he was voted as the best performer by the fans and he received the award this week.
