We are pleased to announce the signing of striker Jordan Archer on a one year-deal at the club.
Archer becomes Vale's 14th new signing of the summer and adds to Vale's power up front for the season. Having signed a two-year deal with Bury last summer, the striker has spent the past year on loan in the lower leagues in order to build up his experience.
The 25 year old spent the first few months of last season on loan at National League side Maidenhead United before moving onto Southport for the remainder of the season.
Despite only initially moving to Southport on a short term loan, his time on Merseyside was extended after an impressive start, scoring four goals in 12 appearances.
Manager John Askey said: "I'm pleased that we've been able to add Jordan to the squad. When we were aware of his situation at Bury, we acted quickly and I'm glad he's signed for us. He's strong, powerful and will work hard of us."
Archer will wear the number 29 shirt for the Valiants.
