Sky Bet League One Round-Up

After another round of Sky Bet League One 2016/17 matches it is Scunthorpe United who have taken over the top spot.

Scunthorpe, who have started out the season brilliantly, climbed to the top of the table after a 2-1 win against Shrewsbury, sending them into the relegation zone.

Below the league leaders are Bolton, whose poor form recently carried on as they lost their first match of the season 1-0 to Walsall with ten men.

Goal difference separates the rest of the teams in the top five as Bury, Bradford and Port Vale are all on 14 points after Bury beat Swindon, Bradford drew with Bristol Rovers and Port Vale won against Gillingham.

Finishing off the top six is Sheffield United who won 1-0 against 9thplace Peterborough at Bramall Lane.

Both Fleetwood and Millwall lost their games over the weekend. The Cod Army lost out to Rochdale and The Lions dropping points at Southend. Rochdale getting their first win of the season against the Cod Army and the Lions dropped all three points at Southend.

Chesterfield finished off the top ten after beating Northampton Town 3-1, who reside in eleventh place.

Right below them is Oxford United who played out a goalless draw against MK Dons over the weekend.

Charlton Athletic, even though they have a game in hand over all the teams around them, found themselves in 14thplace after losing at home to AFC Wimbledon.

Oldham Athletic, who are just above the drop, weren’t able to score against bottom of the league Coventry as the game finished goalless.
