Bruno Ribeiro Reflects On Millwall

Last night, Port Vale continued their 100% record at Vale Park, as they made it six wins from six in all competitions.

Goals from Alex Jones, Martin Paterson and Remie Streete saw the Valinats run out 3-1 winners against Millwall.

Bruno Ribeiro and his side currently sit in fifth in League One after a fantastic start to the season.

The manager was delighted after the win and took time to thank his players for their hard work and attitude.

He said: “As I said in the last game, this game is for the players again, they work hard every day and they played well, scored goals and had a great attitude.

“For them it isn’t easy, working and travelling every day so much but we played well and this is good for the supporters, we keep the 100% record.

“Now we’re looking at the next game against Coventry and we see if we can do the same and get another win and keep working.”

The win helps keep pressure on those teams above Vale and also ensure the Valiants continue to stay right in the mix of things.

Victory saw Vale bounce back from defeat against Bristol Rovers on the weekend, as they continue to search for an away win, something Ribeiro believes is key at the moment.

He added: “It’s important because away from home we have some difficulties to win the game.

“Travelling the same day it’s not good for the players they’re not fresh, but at home they’re fresh and we’re good.

“Sometimes we play well and sometimes we don’t but this is football.

“It’s a good win last night, maybe we could score more but we did well and we looked a little tired and maybe next game I may have to change two or three.”
