Kjell Knops Previews Charlton

Tonight, Port Vale will entertain Charlton Athletic for the first time in 15 years.

The side will be looking to regain their spot in the play-offs, after dropping out of the top six due to a loss against the Blades on Saturday.

The Valiants host Charlton Athletic at Vale and will be on the chase for all three points and try to replicate the form they showed two weeks back in their first away win of the season against MK Dons.

Defender, Kjell Knops thinks that Charlton may have a mental advantage due to the result over the weekend but he thinks that his side are prepared and focused to the task at hand.

“They are a good team,”said Knops.

“Last year they were relegated from the championship so it’s the same as MK Dons and I think the same as Sheffield.”

The defender also said that his side will have to perform well in order to gain some chances throughout the 90 minutes, referencing the game from last weekend where the side lost 4-0 to Sheffield United.

“They have a good team so we have to perform quite well in order to create chances to win the game.

“We have to improve from the last game and I think we’ll have a good chance to win.”
