Tony Fradley Made Life President

We are delighted to announce that Tony Fradley has been made a life president of Port Vale Football Club.

Mr Fradley, who is a box holder at Vale Park and regular match sponsor, is a lifelong fan of the Club having been born in the City and brought up locally.

As part of his role, he will represent the Club at home and away games should current chairman, Norman Smurthwaite, be unable to attend.

Mr Smurthwaite told port-vale.co.uk: “Tony has been a longstanding supporter of this Football Club all his life.

“He has been extremely generous in his financial support and I’m delighted to have made him a life president.”

Mr Fradley, 66, added: “When the chairman asked me I was a bit surprised and shocked to be honoured in this way.

“I’m a frank-talking person and have supported the Club the best I can and I have been a fan since 1958. I’m very proud, it’s an honour.”
