Sebastien Amoros Talks The FA Cup

5 December 2016

For many players in the Vale squad this year, the FA Cup will have come as the first time they would have played in the competition.

Many players have come from abroad for the first time or have come through the youth system at Vale or other clubs.

One of these men was French midfielder, Sebastien Amoros, who has started three of the last four games in all competitions.

Amoros, has been enjoying his football as of late and believe that Vale did well against a difficult Hartlepool side.

He said: “It was a really good game for us. Before the game, the coaching staff told us that it would be a very difficult game.

“A team like Hartlepool, who play in League Two, when they play against a team like Port Vale in the FA Cup they only want to win and get to Third Round and it’s really difficult to play against a team like this.

“At the start of the game, all the team were pressing Hartlepool and we had a good start and we had two goals in 15 minutes which was very important and afterwards we tried to keep the clean sheet and score the third goal and the fourth.”

The 21 year-old is now looking forward to tonight’s draw and is hoping that Vale can be drawn against one of the big sides in the country.

“Of course you want to play against a big team in the Premier League it’s very important.

“Why not take a big team like Arsenal or Manchester Untied, but we will see and all I can say is that in the next game we will be there to win the game with good attitude.”
