Take a look at the thoughts of the defender after a weekend of two games.
With two games being played over this past weekend, defender Remie Streete was one of the few players to take part in both.
Coming off the bench against Manchester Unite Xl and starting as captain against Sheffield Wednesday, Streete was able to get some minutes under his belt.
Remie is one of several centre-backs competing for a starting spot at Valley Parade this Saturday and improving his match fitness will only help his cause.
However, despite coming off with a slight knock at Hillsborough, the defender is confident he will be fit and ready for the start of the new campaign.
He said: “I think all the Championship teams we have played in pre-season have provided us with a big test, we’ve lost three and drawn one.
“However, it’s not about the results in pre-season it’s about getting ready fitness wise and putting in performances and I think we’ve done that.
“I think the new signings play the style of football that we want to play so it will suit them and it will also suit some of the other lads, so come the first game of the season we’re confident we can get a result.
“It’s been a long pre-season but I’m fine and I’m ready to get going, I came off with ten minute left in the game but I’m fine for Saturday.”
