Take a look at the thoughts of the manager heading into this clash.
Tonight marks the beginning of the newly named, EFL Cup, as Vale get the First Round started with a trip to Carlisle Untied.
It will be a second trip up north in the space of three days for Vale, coming into the game off the back of an opening day draw with Bradford City.
The League Two side also come into the game off the back of a draw, as they travelled down south to face Portsmouth.
Manager, Bruno Ribeiro thinks it will be another difficult challenge for his side and believes they will have to be at their best to progress to the next round.
He said: “Maybe we will make two or three changes from the side that played against Bradford because some were very tired and we only have three days rest.
“After the game we had no injury problems everyone was good, but who knows, some might need resting.
“It will be a difficult game against a tough team, they will try to play and they are a very good and strong team.
“I watched them last week against Bradford in the friendly they will work hard so we will have to do our best to work hard so that we can win the game.”
