The EFL have announced the officials set to take charge this weekend.
Mark Heywood will be the man in the middle of Port Vale’s Checkatrade Trophy clash with Derby County.
Heywood, who has officiated in four League Two games and one League One game, giving a total of 24 yellow cards and one red so far this campaign.
It will be the first Port Vale fixture Whitestone has officiated in this season and the first game since Vale’s 1-1 draw at the Shrewsbury Town last season.
He will be assisted by Michael Denton and Chris Isherwood, while Matthew Parry will act as fourth official.
