Loan Watch

11 April 2016

Here we take a look at how Port Vale’s loanees got on at the weekend for their respective sides.

Chris Neal kept a clean sheet as Bury beat Doncaster Rovers 1-0 at Gigg Lane thanks to Leon Clarke’s 77th minute winner.

The goalkeeper was making his fifth appearance for the Shakers against a team he has also spent time at on loan earlier this season.

Colin Daniel scored his second goal in two games for Mansfield Town as they won 2-1 at Carlisle United.

The forward opened the scoring in the 21st minute but was forced off through injury before half time.

Meanwhile, Sam Johnson was unable to prevent Halifax losing 2-0 at home to Aldershot.

The goalkeeper conceded two second half goals as the Shaymen fell to their third loss in four National League matches.

Ryan Lloyd played the full 90 minutes as Chester lost 2-1 away to Lincoln. Robbie McDaid put the hosts into the lead before James Alabi equalised for the visitors.

However, George Maris scored with less than ten minutes to go to condemn Chester to consecutive league defeats.

Following his return to action in midweek, Nathan Smith was part of a Torquay United side which lost 1-0 to Tranmere Rovers this weekend.

Michael Higdon scored the only goal of the game for the Super Whites to ensure Torquay remain just three points clear of the relegation zone.
