Port Vale recorded an important away win at Barnsley on Saturday. Here, we take a look at the other standout results in Sky Bet League One.

Wigan Athletic extended their unbeaten run to ten games as they beat Rochdale 2-0 at Spotland Stadium in the early kick-off.

Jason Pearce headed the Latics in front before Michael Jacobs added another after the break to seal the three points.

Gillingham returned to the summit of the League One table with a convincing 3-1 win over Bury at Priestfield.

Leon Clarke did give the Shakers an early lead but Dominic Samuel equalised before John Egan put the Gills in front. Emmanuel Osabade’s impressive individual effort completed the victory.

Coventry City’s Jacob Murphy bagged a brace against former club Colchester United to ensure the Sky Blues came from behind to beat the U’s away from home.

Sheffield United came from 2-0 down at home to Southend United to draw 2-2. Ryan Leonard and Jack Payne gave the away side a substantial advantage.
