Manager Speaks To Valiant Player Ahead Of Chesterfield
- Vale travel to face the Spireites at the Proact on Saturday
- Page claims his players are high in spirits and confidence
- Manager wants to come home with all three points this weekend.
Port Vale boss Rob Page says his players are growing in confidence with every passing game and are looking forward to this weekend’s trip to Chesterfield.
The Valiants are currently eighth in Sky Bet League One and have won three of their last four games, including an impressive Boxing Day triumph over promotion hopefuls Sheffield United.
Their last meeting with Paul Cook’s men resulted in a 2-1 win for the Spireites and Page admits Vale are determined to return the favour at the Proact.
Speaking exclusively to Valiant Player in the lead up to Saturday’s game, the 40-year-old claimed his side is building some momentum.
“It’s always one you look at and you never want teams to do the double over you but from our point of view it’s just another game,” he said.
“It’s something we’re building at the club at the minute, we’re building in confidence. As every performance goes by I think they’re [the players] increasing in their confidence.
“So we’ll just focus on us as opposed to them.”
