10: *DID YOU KNOW?: Source: Sky Sports Football Year Book* Chesterfield are fourth only to Notts County, Stoke and Nottingham Forest in age, for they can trace their existence as far back as 1866, although it is fair to say they were somewhat casual in the first few years of their history, playing only a few friendlies a year. However, their rules of 1871 are still in existence, showing an annual membership of 2s (10p), but it was not until 1891 that they won a trophy (the Barnes Cup) and followed this a year later by winning the Sheffield Cup, Barnes Cup and the Derbyshire Junior Cup.
