“It is a big game,” the Vale boss said. “We’re off the back of two defeats which is not nice for us, we’re not happy with that.

“It’s the first time it has happened since I’ve taken over and we will be looking to put it right straight away.

“It is a tough game because everyone was talking about Bradford for the right reasons in going down to Chelsea and giving a great account of themselves, so we know what they’re capable of doing away from home.

“But, like I said, take away the Crewe game for us, which was bitterly disappointing, having said that we started bright the first 20 minutes and finished strong, just couldn’t get the goal, our home form is there for everyone to see.

“I think that’s six in eight we have won so we know what we’re capable of doing at home and we have got to focus on that.”
