Keith Stroud will take charge of Port Vale’s Capital One Cup second round clash with West Bromwich Albion this evening.
The Valiants make the trip south to the Hawthorns with the backing of over 2,700 fans and a place in the next round at stake. Kick-off is at 8pm.
Stroud’s most recent game was Crystal Palace’s 2-1 win over Aston Villa on Saturday at Selhurst Park in the Barclay’s Premier League.
So far this season he has brandished 15 yellow cards and sent off one player – that being Luke Freeman in Brentford’s 4-2 win at Bristol City in the Championship.
Stroud will be assisted at the Hawthorns by Guy Streeton and Matthew Buonassisi. Trevor Kettle, who refereed Vale’s first round win over Burnley, will be the fourth official.
