Chris Lines Signs New Deal

Port Vale are delighted to announce that Chris Lines has signed a new 2-year deal at the club keeping him at the club until at least 2016.

Speaking to us Chris couldn’t hide his excitement to sign a new contract with the club:

“I’m obviously happy to sign again, I enjoyed myself last year as we obviously had a great season. It’ll be great to see the rest of the boys again and get going ready for next season, and I’m sure we’ll have a right crack at the league again like we did last year.

The midfielder believes that the team can improve on last season and sneak into the play-offs.

“I think this season we need to work as hard as we did last year, and make sure we enjoy it. If we can get in and around the same area or maybe get into the play-offs, basically improving on last season, that would be brilliant.

On a personal note, he believes that he needs to score more goals to improve on his brilliant first season at Vale Park.

“I’m gonna try and score more goals next year as that’s what I didn’t do as well at last year, because I set up more goals than I scored and I want to do both this year.”
