Boss grateful to Sunderland following latest loan signing
Vale boss Micky Adams has thanked Premier League Sunderland following the loan-deal which saw midfielder Billy Knott join until the end of the season.
Although he won’t be eligible for Saturday’s FA Cup tie, he is expected to play on Tuesday night when Vale resume League One duties.
Micky Adams said: “Billy Knott has joined us from Sunderland and we would like to thank them for allowing the player to join us until the end of the season.
“He already has some league experience having been on loan at Wycombe this season and was with Wimbledon previous to that.
He is a welcome addition to the squad but we is cup-tied so won’t be available for the Brighton match, but will go straight into the squad for the game against Crawley Town on Tuesday.”
