Micky Adams urges fans to stay off the pitch!
Port Vale Manager Micky Adams is asking the fans to stay off the pitch at the end of the Friday final home fixture versus Sheffield United.
He said, "The players and their families would like the opportunity to come out at the end of the game to show their thanks for the fantastic support they have received during the season. Some of them have young families with them and simply won't be able to come out if the Supporters come onto the pitch.
"I think we have had a season we can all be proud of and it would be great to be able to show our appreciation for the fans backing.
The club are backing the Managers request with the club safety officer confirming that the players will be back on the pitch at the end of the game only if the fans stay off the pitch and behind the barriers.
