Vale in the Community set to provide Higher Education Opportunities

Vale in the Community in partnership with the Football League Trust and the University of South Wales is offering talented individuals the opportunity to study for a Foundation Degree online.

This course combines academic and vocational learning in a professional football club environment. It is designed to enhance the career prospects of those already in employment, current professional players and students looking to progress from further to higher education.

Successful applicants will be studying for a Foundation Degree in Community Football Coaching and Development. Course online lectures will take place at Port Vale FC (Vale Park) along with work based learning opportunities within the club.

UEFA B and C qualifications are embedded in the course, practical workshops will take place at the University of South Wales utilising the superb training facilities. Student mentoring will also be provided by Vale in the Community staff based at Vale Park.

On completion of the programme of study students will have the option to take advantage of a one year top up course to complete a full degree.
