If you are looking to combine Post-16 education with playing the sport you love, you might fancy your chances at the Football & Education Academy trials here at Port Vale on Friday evening!
Studying on the course offers a great opportunity and second chance for those who have been released from academy football previously, or maybe those who have fallen short of getting there. This could provide you with a route into the game whilst gaining a qualification too.
Study BTEC Sport qualification (equivalent to 3 A-Levels) whilst training throughout the week with UEFA standard coaches and representing Port Vale on a Wednesday afternoon against other professional clubs.
Additional sessions include strength and conditioning, plus match analysis.
Students will gain coaching qualifications during the course and have an opportunity of work placements or part-time work at Port Vale whilst on the course.
The qualification will give students the opportunity to progress into sport employment or university education, and in terms of football, move into the professional/semi-professional setup or earn a scholarship abroad.
All players are part of the club, shown by having a Port Vale tracksuit, training kit and representing the club in replica kit.
