Port Vale will be in the draw for the Quarter Final round of the Checkatrade Trophy tonight for the first time since 2001, thanks to Luke Hannant's winning penalty in the shoot out against Shrewsbury on Tuesday night.
The Valiants will be ball number seven in the draw which will take place live on Sky Sports EFL Matters from 19:00 onwards.
From this round onwards, there is no regionalisation element to the draw and the ties must be played on the week commencing 21st January. The Valiants could be on their travels as far as Portsmouth or Sunderland should they be drawn against them.
