Port Vale host Cheltenham Town this weekend where John Askey’s men will look to beat the Robins for the second time this season following the Valiants’ 3-1 win at The Jonny-Rocks Stadium in the FA Cup last month. The match officials for the fixture have been confirmed and can be found below:

Leigh Doughty has been confirmed as the referee who will take charge of the Vale’s match against Cheltenham on Saturday. This is Doughty’s debut season officiating in the Football League, he refereed 25 matches in total last season, mainly in the National League and Premier League 2. This term, Doughty has taken charge of 14 matches across all competitions.

Across the 25 matches he took charge of last season, Doughty handed out 77 yellow cards as well as three reds. This season he has awarded 39 yellow cards and 2 red cards over 14 matches. It will be the second time Doughty has taken charge of Port Vale this season, he oversaw the Vale's 2-1 win against Shrewsbury Town in the EFL Trophy group stages in September.

His assistants on Saturday will be Kevin Morris and Oliver Bickle with Natalie Aspinall taking the role of fourth official.
