Dan Turner has returned from his loan spell at Falkirk after enduring an injury-hit start to the 2018/19 campaign, with the Scottish Championship side cutting his stay north of the border short, but he will not be available for the Valiants until January 2019.

Meanwhile, Dior Angus and Mike Calveley had a free weekend as Nuneaton Borough didn't have a fixture in the Vanarama National League North. Rob Lainton did feature for Wrexham during their win over Havant & Waterlooville in the National League, however, and he kept his 10th clean sheet of the season.

Tyrone Barnett was forced to settle for a substitute appearance on Saturday afternoon, coming on to replace Aden Baldwin in the latter stages of the fixture. He did have a chance deep into stoppage time, but the Robins fell to a 3-0 defeat at MK Dons.

Stafford Rangers were also in action at the weekend, and Harry Benns was given a starting berth as they faced Scarborough Athletic. He lasted an hour before going off, but Rangers slipped to a 3-1 defeat in the Evo-Stik Premier Division.
