PREVIEW Yeovil Town vs Port Vale

22 September 2017

Fixture – Yeovil Town vs Port Vale

Date – 23rd September 2017

Venue – Huish Park

Preview

Port Vale will be looking to bounce back from a few frustrating weeks in the league as they travel to Yeovil Town.

Following a managerial change last week, The Valiants will see Chris Morgan and Ned Kelly take hold of the reigns ahead of the trip down South as the search for a manager continues.

The hosts currently sit 19th in League Two after a frustrating time for themselves as Vale remain bottom.

The Opposition

Yeovil Town currently sit 19th in League Two and are on a run of four games without a win. The Glovers' last league win came in the middle of August when they defeated Accrington Stanley 3-2 at Huish Park.

They are currently bottom of the rankings when it comes to goals conceded with 20. However, they have scored 13 goals in their opening eight games as they hope to push on further up the league.

Yeovil would have liked to have started the season well so they can earn a respectable league position come end of the season. Manager, Darren Way, has high hopes of doing this as the season progresses.

Talk

Darren Way: "They’ve got a new temporary manager so there will be a little bit of a reaction and he'll probably implement one or two new ideas.

"They'll be trying to impress the new man and they'll probably have that reaction for one or two games."

Chris Morgan: “The lads have been positive, they have responded to the work we’ve been doing on the training ground and they are all now looking forward to Saturday.”

Team News

Vale have picked up no new fresh injury concerns since last weekend's draw to Forest Green Rovers at Vale Park.

This means, Rob Lainton, Cristian Montano, Anton Forrester, Kjell Knops and Danny Pugh remain out.
