It was a disappointing weekend for Stalybridge Celtic and Joe Slinn, as they exited the FA Cup at the hands of Witton Albion.
Slinn was unable to help prevent the defeat in the preliminary round of the competition with a 3-1 defeat away from home.
Luke Dennis and Newcastle Town were also on the end of loss, as they were on the wrong end of a 2-1 scoreline at home to Loughborough Dynamo.
