The EFL have confirmed the match officials for this week’s Checkatrade Trophy tie with Crewe Alexandra.
John Brooks will be the main man for the Tuesday night clash at Vale Park as the experienced official takes control of Port Vale for this first time this season.
So far this season, Brooks has officiated in:
9 League One Games
4 League Two Games
2 Checkatrade Trophy games
1 FA Cup game
1 EFL Cup game.
In the 17 games where he has officiated in, 62 yellow cards have been handed out as well as four reds since the start of August 2017.
His assistants for the game will be Christopher Husband and Alix Pashley, whereas Michael Salisbury will act as fourth official.
