Tony Fradley Discusses Checkatrade Trophy

24 July 2017

Last week it was confirmed that Newcastle United would be joining ourselves, Crewe Alexandra and Oldham Athletic in the Checkatrade Trophy.

The competition is one that myself and Michael Brown are 100% behind trying to go as far as we can and there is the potential that we could to take Port Vale to Wembley.

A chance at winning some silverware has me excited and I’m sure this is reciprocated by you the supporters. Therefore, the side will need your support in our upcoming group games as we look to progress to the knockout stages of the competition.

Ticket prices for our home ties against Newcastle United and Crewe Alexandra have now been released at £10 for Adults and £5 for Concessions at Vale Park. So, you can help the club by getting your tickets and getting behind the team.

Also, the Checkatrade Trophy gives Port Vale Football Club the opportunity to bring in some extra revenue by competing in the games and also bringing in the largest attendance we possibly can.

The extra revenue will help to boost the club in all aspects, from on the field as well as off the field, something we hope you are beginning to see now and will continue to do so throughout the season.

The competition also encourages the development of younger talents and is a platform for supporters to potentially see the stars of the future.

So we would be delighted for you, the supporters, to get behind the lads in the Checkatrade Trophy and see where we end up come the end of the competition.
