Port Vale will look to start the New Year the way they finished 2017 with Neil Aspin’s men currently unbeaten in five league games.

Recent results over Coventry City and Luton Town highlight how well The Valiants are playing at the minute as they travel to Kevin Nolan’s Notts County.

County currently sit second in the Sky Bet League Two table as they come off the back of a 1-0 defeat at Swindon Town.

The Opposition

The World’s Oldest Football League side have had an impressive season so far under the new leadership of Kevin Nolan who has taken them to second in the table so far.

They sit just four points behind leaders Luton Town with high hopes of being promoted to League One by the end of the season.

County haven’t won in their last two home games where they drew to Grimsby Town and Cambridge United. They last played Vale in September where they ran out 1-0 winners at Vale Park.

Kevin Nolan: “There has been a lot going on and I am delighted with everything that has happened. Hopefully 2018 will be as kind to us.”
