Competition: Sky Bet League Two
Fixture: Port Vale vs Luton Town
Date: Saturday 30th September 2017

Preview

Port Vale will host high-flying Luton Town in hope of increasing their terrific run under Neil Aspin.

The Valiants are unbeaten in their last three games and have just come off the back of an impressive 1-0 win against Coventry City.

The visitors are unbeaten since October where they lost 3-0 at home to Coventry. They’ve won their last three games and have already scored 58 goals this campaign.

The Opposition

The Hatters have enjoyed a fine season so far and have been one of the hottest football teams across all four divisions.

They currently find themselves at the top of the table, four points clear of Notts County.

Nathan Jones’ men have scored the most goals in the league and have conceded 19 in their 24 games played.

Danny Hylton has been the star performer for Luton as he leads the top goalscoring ranks with 14 so far. Manchester City are the only side in the Football League that have scored more than them.

Talk

Neil Aspin: “We have had the hardest run of games with still the top two to play. Luton will be a big test, but I feel a lot better going into that game with the run that we are on.”

Nathan Jones: “Port Vale is a massive game for us. It’s been a crazy schedule, but we have had a good Christmas period.”

Team News

James Gibbons appears to be the only player unavailable for Port Vale as he continues his suspension.

Long term absentees Kjell Knops and Adam Yates remain sidelined.

Luton Town will have a full-team available following their excellent 5-0 win over Swindon Town on Tuesday.
