We are delighted to welcome the arrival of AFC Bournemouth winger Ben Whitfield until January.
The 21 year-old has joined Vale, becoming the latest signing this season, and subject to the Premier League’s, English Football League’s and Football Association’s approval, he will be part of the squad for tomorrow’s season opener against Crawley Town.
Whitfield will meet up with his new team-mates in Crawley and will be issued the number 31 shirt for his time at the club.
Whitfield is yet to make an appearance for the Cherries after signing his contract back in 2014.
He enjoyed a loan spell out to Kidderminster Harriers back in 2015, where he scored 6 goals in 29 appearances.
The season after saw him make his Football League debut as he was loaned out to YeovilTown where he scored twice in 34 appearances for the Glovers.
The winger will look to continue his growth under Michael Brown at ValePark, and help the team in the 2017/18 League Two campaign.
