Show Racism The Red Card This Weekend

4 March 2016

Port Vale’s clash with Colchester United this weekend is the Club’s designated Show Racism the Red Card match for the 2015/16 season.

Established in 1998, Show Racism the Red Card is the UK’s anti-racism educational charity. It helps to tackle racism in society with the help of footballers and clubs.

Most of the charity’s work is done in schools to educate young people and adults and this weekend they will be at Vale Park to help raise awareness.

Rob Page and goalkeeper Chris Neal have both thrown their support behind the campaign.

The manager told port-vale.co.uk: “It’s a fantastic campaign again and one that we back yearly when we have the designated game. A fantastic cause and we keep going.”

Neal added: “We do it every year or a couple of times a year, wear the t-shirts but it is a massive part of football.”
