Page Pleased To Surpass 50 Point Mark

6 March 2016

Port Vale manager Rob Page was pleased to surpass the 50-point mark as his side beat Colchester United on Saturday.

The Valiants moved up to ninth in the Sky Bet League One table on 52 points after goals from Theo Robinson, his first for the Club, and Sam Foley secured the win.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD following the game, Page was clearly happy that his players had reached their initial target for the season.

“That’s your first target as a manager, you want to get to that 50 point mark,” he said. “We’re on 52 now, just creeping into the first week of March.

“If someone would have said to me on 1st July ‘you’re going to be going into March with 52 points’ I’d have snapped their hand off.

“Ten games to go, we’re taking it each game as it comes. We’ve got a great game next week, Peterborough away and we’re looking forward to it.”
