Vale hit seven goals as they romp home to victory

Vale fielded a strong reserve team against bottom of the table Morecambe as Page looked to give supporting players game time. Conditions weren’t ideal with heavy rain and strong winds but Vale were soon dominating the play without creating too many chances but first to threaten was Birchall as he turned on a ball from Brown but fired just wide of the far post.
