Have a read of the fun activities that took place during week one
Over 60 children took part in the Foundations soccer camps last week during the Foundations summer programme. The fun weeks included skill based coaching in the mornings with mini soccer games, penalty shoot out and cross bar challenge competitions in the afternoons of each day were very well received.
As part of the week children were taken on an exclusive access all areas stadium tour around Old Trafford, home of Manchester Utd FC.
All children taking part on the programme were rewarded with player appearances from all of the current Port Vale first team players along with awards for all children in the form of certificates, medals and individual competition prizes.
Foundation Manager Tom Sherratt commented “ It was fantastic to have such a high number of children taking part and we hope the experience provided has shown the ambition we have to increase the number of participants participating in sport in our local community.”
