Port Vale boss Rob Page has reiterated to his players that they mustn’t take their foot off the gas as the season draws to a close.

With six games to go Vale are still in with a shout of sneaking into the play-off places and the manager says their aim is to finish as high as possible in the table.
“I’ve had a meeting with them this morning and said that,” he told Valiant PlayerHD. “It’s a six game season now and don’t they dare take the foot off the pedal now and see the season out.
“There’s still a hell of a lot to play for, there’s players playing for contracts so it’s an opportunity for them to go and put their stamp on it and make our minds up as coaches.
“From a supporters point of view as well they don’t want to finish the season in disappointment.
“All the effort we’ve put in throughout the season, make it count for something, let’s finish on a high. We’ve got a six game season and the first game is Chesterfield away.”
