Here we take a look at how Port Vale’s loanees got on for their respective clubs at the weekend.

Chris Neal kept his second consecutive clean sheet as Bury won 1-0 at Swindon Town.

The game marked the goalkeeper’s sixth appearance since he joined the Shakers in March on a deal that will run until the end of the season.

The result leaves them 15th in the Sky Bet League One table on 57 points from 42 matches.

Colin Daniel was on the bench for Mansfield Town’s resounding 5-0 win over Notts County..

The forward picked up a knock in the Stags’ win over Carlisle United the previous weekend, in which he scored the opening goal.

Following their win over the Magpies, Mansfield are now 13th in the League Two, 19 points above the relegation zone and just six points off the play-off places.

Sam Johnson was unable to prevent Halifax losing 2-0 to Cheltenham at Whaddon Road.

The result meant the hosts secured promotion back to the Football League at the first time of asking.

It was Johnson’s 22nd National League appearance for the Shaymen since he initially joined them in November.

As a result of the loss, Halifax dropped to 21st in the table and into the relegation places.

Ryan Lloyd helped Chester to a 4-0 thrashing of Welling at the Deva Stadium.

The 22-year-old played the full 90 minutes as the Cheshire outfit secured three valuable points in their campaign for survival.

Nathan Smith didn’t play but Torquay United ensured they will be playing National League football again next season with a 2-0 win at Bromley.

The Gulls were 12 points adrift of safety in February but a remarkable run has seen them climb out of the bottom four.
