The commercial they made urged the Swedish public to buy a new product called ‘English Grass’, produced by Svenska Spel, which can be used to improve the quality of their own lawns.
Last week the advert was awarded the best PR integrated campaign in Sweden for the year 2015.
Speaking to port-vale.co.uk, Steve said: “It’s great news to hear that the campaign has been such a success over in Sweden.
“We had a great time filming it over the summer and everyone who came over was great with me.
“I’m very proud of the outcome and to hear that it has won an award is fantastic news. Hopefully we’ve attracted a few new fans to the football club in the process.”
