Fancy A Flutter On The Valiants This Weekend?

Port Vale are 5/6 favourites with Sky Bet to beat local rivals Crewe Alexandra this weekend.

Rob Page’s side welcome the Railwaymen, who are 3/1 for a victory, to Vale Park on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.

The Valiants have won 2-1 in each of their last three home games – against Sheffield United, Gillingham and Peterborough United respectively – and they are 15/2 to repeat that score line tomorrow.

Vale striker Ben Williamson, who scored in those three triumphs, is 9/2 with Sky Bet to net the opener against Steve Davis’ side or 5/4 to net inside 90 minutes.

Midfielder Michael O’Connor, previously of Crewe, is 4/1 to hit the back of the net against his former club, while Louis Dodds is 100/30 to score and for Vale to win.

Crewe’s Nicholas Ajose is 6/1 to open the scoring, while on-loan Stoke midfielder Jamie Ness is 6/1 to score inside 90 minutes for the visitors.

Odds From Around The League

Colchester United vs. Leyton Orient
Two sides struggling for form and in need of a boost to bring them clear of the relegation zone tackle each other at the Weston Homes Community Stadium. The hosts are available with League sponsor Sky Bet at 7/4, while the travelling O’s are priced at 6/4. The draw is available at 23/10. Colchester haven’t tasted victory at home in League 1 since October, but Orient are unbeaten in their last two away matches. Orient’s Chris Dagnall has scored seven goals this season and has bagged four in his last four. He is an 11/2 chance to get the first strike of the game and 6/4 to score at any point during the 90 minutes. The departure of Freddie Sears to Ipswich leaves Rhys Healey and Gavin Massey considered as the likeliest to find the set for the home side at 11/2 and 6/1 respectively in the first goalscorer market.
Top tip: Chris Dagnall to score anytime at 6/4.

Fleetwood Town vs. Crawley Town
Fleetwood sit just two points outside of the play-off zone in 12th, but opponents Crawley may have the opposite issue to contend with at the end of the season. The hosts are 3/4 favourites according to Sky Bet with Crawley at 18/5 and the draw quoted at 13/5. Neither team come here in the best of form - Crawley have lost their last three on the road and Fleetwood haven’t won in five at home (three defeats and two draws.) However, it is notable that while Crawley have scored in five or their last six games, they also haven’t kept a clean sheet in eight matches on the road, so a bet on both teams to score is definitely one to look at 5/6. Josh Morris scored both goals in Fleetwood’s recent 2-2 draw at home to Swindon and he could prove a spot of value at 9/2 to score during the 90 minutes at this game.
Top tip: Both teams to score at 5/6.

Gillingham vs. Oldham Athletic
The Gills snapped a losing streak when beating Coventry 3-1 last week and will be looking for another three points to put some distance between themselves and the League 1 relegation zone. But they are the outsiders here with Sky Bet at 21/10, the Latics being preferred for the away win at 5/4, with the draw quoted at 12/5. Four of the last five meetings between those two sides have finished with only one goal having been scored and the other was a goalless draw, so it could prove wise to expect a tight encounter again, even though Oldham have scored five in their last three League matches. It’s 11/10 that at least one of the sides fail to score during the game, or 5/2 that there are one or no goals in the match.
Top tip: Under 1.5 goals at 5/2.

MK Dons vs. Barnsley
MK Dons have only lost once at home in their last nine Sky Bet League 1 games, winning seven and drawing the other, but Barnsley aren’t the best travellers losing their last four on the road. Sitting smartly in third in the table coming into this contest, MK Dons are short priced favourites at 4/7 against Barnsley’s 9/2 with the draw at 3/1. MK Dons have won three of their last four home matches to nil and Barnsley have failed to score in their last two away matches. Will Grigg heads the first goalscorer betting for the home side at 4/1, but Conor Hourihane has been among the goals recently for the Tykes and their fans might want to consider backing him to score at any time during the 90 minutes at 11/4.
Top tip: MK Dons to win to nil at 15/8.

Notts County vs. Peterborough United
Notts County host Peterborough United at Meadow Lane on Saturday. The Magpies are priced up at with Sky Bet at 19/10 for the win, while the Posh can be backed at 13/10 and the draw at 5/2. Three points separate the sides in the Sky Bet League 1 table with Notts County in ninth and Peterborough in 15th. Notts County have only won one of their last eight games but Posh are also out of form with no victory in their last five contests. Both teams have scored in Peterborough’s last three away games and you can get 8/13 for both sides to net this weekend.
Top tip: Both teams to score at 8/13.

Yeovil Town vs. Coventry City
Bottom-of-the-table Yeovil are the 7/5 favourites for a welcome victory at home to Coventry on Saturday. The visiting Sky Blues can be supported at 19/10 and the draw is on offer at 9/4. Coventry have won three of their last five matches away from the Ricoh Arena so will travel south with a bit of confidence. Yeovil have only won one of their previous seven games and the last four contests have seen two or fewer goals scored. You can get a tempting 8/11 for under 2.5 goals in this encounter.
Top tip: Under 2.5 goals at 8/11.
