Vale reserves take on Shrewsbury Town on the Vale training pitches this afternoon (kick off 1.00pm) and the Valiants will field a young side for the game.
Rob Page told local press yesterday that he wants to make sure none of his first team squad pick up any unnecessary injuries ahead of our FA Cup tie at St James Park on Sunday.
The manager wants to make sure he has a full squad available for the fixture and so it is a chance for the youngsters to impress against the Shrews.
