Rob Page Hails Doncaster Rout

23 August 2015

Port Vale manager Rob Page hailed his side's emphatic win over Doncaster Rovers as the best performance under his regime.

The Valiants brushed Paul Dickov's outfit aside as goals from Sam Foley, Uche Ikpeazu and Byron Moore capped off a dominant display.

The win earned Vale their first three points of the Sky Bet League One season, moving their total onto six from four games.

Speaking to Valiant PlayerHD after the match, Page lavished praise on his players for the way they went about the victory.

When asked whether it was the best performance since he has been in charge, he replied: "I think so.

"It's up there with certainly Burnley as well but to play against quality opposition like that and to win the game and then to win as convincingly as we did today and miss a penalty and create five glorious chances first half and found their 'keeper in good form.

"So I think three-nil has done them a bit of a favour if I'm honest."
